Darcy looked at him for a long minute. ”Just try to make sure your next meeting isn’t while he’s deep in a project…the wrong interruption always irritates him.” Her brow furrowed. ”Not that you’d be wrong, but he’d see it as wrong because he’s got his mind set on something. It’s a thing that happens from time to time.” She shook her head. ”I don’t think he doesn’t like you. He’s just the…lone wolf type.”
She frowned. ”Um…maybe? Or maybe I mean you’re just not familiar? Or…well, I don’t know. I don’t remember what we were talking about when I started thinking about words.” A laugh escaped from her. ”Maybe you can ask me about it later? Just be sure to fill me in on what it was about…otherwise I won’t be any more help than I am now.” She sat down in the car and fumbled a little as she managed to hook the seat belt.
"Like I said, not sure he wants a second meeting and I’m not sure I care." He answered before realizing how that sounded. He buckled up his seat and tightened the strap, taking his usual precautions. "What I mean is, why talk to someone who doesn’t want to talk to me? If there’s a second meeting it’s because he talks to me, I won’t start something with someone who I don’t think wants to hear it." He explained, hoping that way sounded less rude.
Scott stuck the key in and chuckled a little. “Maybe I will.” He answered and shook his head. He did a quick glance to make sure she was buckled in as well since being the rule follower that he was, he’d never drive a car without making sure the safety precautions were taken care of.
